As a RYT-500 yoga and meditation teacher and a spiritual director, I’m honored to walk alongside individuals desiring to Embrace Shalom - body, mind, and spirit!

During a severe health crisis, a dear friend and sister in Christ suggested I attend an MBSR (Mindful Based Stress Reduction) course. Through this 8-week course, I learned meditation and mindful movement/yoga practices, helping me reconnect my mind and body. Since much of my bodily experience had been tied to the trauma of health struggles, mindful movement and yoga allowed me to experience safety in my body during these practices.

While MBSR’s roots are in mindfulness and not taught from a religious perspective, participants were encouraged to bring their “whole selves” to the practices, including our faith. As a Christ follower, I began to practically understand what it means when scripture tells us “to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5), as well as what it looks like to indeed “be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).  Those eight weeks have sharpened my life in Christ and restored my mind-body connection, bringing a vividness to practices laid out in scripture.

Desiring to learn more, I have become a certified meditation and yoga instructor (RYT-500) and received my certificate in spiritual direction from Soul Shepherding. This, along with nearly two decades of leading soul care for youth development staffers, I’m honored and humbled to walk alongside individuals and small groups on their healing journeys. Whether wishing to engage their bodies through yoga, their minds through mindfulness, meditation, or contemplation, their spiritual or emotional selves through spiritual direction, or a combination of all three, I strive to hold space for each person to process and embrace shalom while leaning into the “unforced rhythms of grace” (Matthew 11:28 - 30 MSG).

So, Welcome! Take a moment to look around and make yourself at home.

Grace and Shalom,
